Training in Muay Thai Fighter
Training is essential to building a strong fighter. Between fights, you can train four different disciplines, each improving different stats. Smart training is the difference between a champion and a challenger.
🥊 Padwork
Work the pads with your trainer to sharpen your combinations and timing. Technique +1, Focus +8. Best for: improving your overall fighting ability and accuracy.
🏋️ Strength Training
Weights, kettlebells, and resistance training. Build raw power. Strength +1, Max HP +4. Best for: hitting harder and lasting longer in tough fights.
🏃 Roadwork
Running builds the cardiovascular endurance essential for Muay Thai. Speed +1, Stamina +6. Best for: maintaining high activity throughout fights.
🤼 Sparring
Controlled fighting practice against training partners. The closest thing to a real fight. Defense +1, XP +8. Best for: improving defense and gaining experience faster.
Training Strategy
The key to efficient training is balance. While it's tempting to focus on Strength for more damage, neglecting Speed (stamina) means you'll run out of energy mid-fight. Here's a suggested approach:
- Early game: focus on Roadwork for stamina — you need to last the full fight
- Mid game: alternate Padwork and Strength to boost both damage and technique
- Late game: add Sparring for defense and XP to handle the toughest opponents
The Gym Shop
Complement your training with purchases from the gym shop. Equipment like Premium Handwraps (+1 Strength), Shin Guards (+1 Defense), and the Jump Rope (+1 Speed) give permanent stat boosts that stack with training.
Injuries & Recovery
After tough fights (winning with less than 30 HP), there's a chance of injury. While injured, you cannot train or fight. Injuries heal over 1-3 days. To minimize injury risk:
- Keep your health high — buy Thai Massages from the shop before tough fights
- Invest in Defense to take less damage during fights
- Use Block & Counter against very strong opponents to reduce incoming damage
Daily Training Challenges
The daily challenge system sometimes includes training-related goals like "Train 3 times today." Completing these earns bonus Baht, making training days even more rewarding. Check the daily challenges panel under the fight screen.
